Fighting Spam

This blog of mine has been drowning in comment spam recently. It is taking me too much time to delete the spam comments so I’ve decided to include this randomly generated image thing that you need to figure out before you’re able to post a comment. I’m sorry for the extra trouble but I think this might be a good way to reduce the spamming. Lets see if it works.

    Hi. I need to tame my wordpress comment spam as well. Is this a plugin? Where did you get it? Thanks, Teemu.

    Hi Donovan,

    Yes this is a plugin. There is plenty of these listed at http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Spam_Tools. The one that I’m using is Captcha! (http://www.boriel.com/?page_id=17). So far I haven’t got any spam, so seems like it is working at least for now.
